Job Overview

TES Power is a rapidly growing division specialising in low voltage switchgear for the global data centre market. We deliver bespoke, complex projects for some of the world's biggest clients.



As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be involved in the full project lifecycle, with a strong focus on creating accurate electrical schematics and developing manufacturable designs from client single line diagrams and technical specifications. Alongside project delivery, you'll contribute to continuous process improvement within the design team.



This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team at the heart of a fast-moving industry, working collaboratively across departments and directly with global clients.



Key Responsibilities
Design and develop LV switchgear solutions in line with project and client requirements Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and associated documentation using EPLAN and AutoCAD Interpret client single line diagrams and specification documents into manufacturable designs Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with IEC standards and company procedures Liaise with clients, provide markups, and implement modifications where required Contribute to process improvements within the electrical design team
What We're Looking For

Essential:




An electrical/electronic engineering qualification Proficiency with EPLAN or equivalent electrical design software Experience with AutoCAD 2D

Desired:




Previous experience in switchgear or LV/MV electrical design Understanding of IEC 61439 and related standards Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
