Our teams consult, deliver and manage Critical Human Infrastructure projects across the Water and Wastewater industries in the UK and overseas.?You will get the opportunity to work on a range of challenging engineering projects in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
We are seeking EICA Design Engineers to work on both clean water and wastewater schemes, delivering engineering solutions ranging from concept design through to detailed design for construction.
Responsibilities
Lead teams of electrical engineers to produce clear and concise engineering deliverables appropriate for the intended audience including single line diagrams, cable block diagrams and control system architecture drawings, load schedules, MCC datasheets, equipment and material selection, enquiry documentation, datasheets, schedules and reports
Serving as a technical specialist providing knowledge and expertise
Coordinating the development of key multidiscipline deliverables such as P&IDs
Managing design interfaces with other disciplines and integration of the EICA design elements into the overall design
Working closely with project teams, other engineering disciplines, Project Managers, estimating, site and commissioning teams, CAD, Joint Venture partners and Clients
Undertaking technical bid assessments, subcontractor design reviews and providing technical support to site teams
Undertaking supervisor responsibilities including performance management and supporting professional development
Defining and managing budget, schedule, and quality requirements for electrical teams
Requirements
The role is suitable for technically strong, commercially aware candidates with a background in Electrical Engineering in the water or closely related industries. You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:
Experience in clean water and wastewater system design, including equipment specification, plant layout, and control systems
Knowledge of electrical systems, multidisciplinary coordination, and risk/change management
Skilled in system integration, procurement, commissioning, and technical/economic evaluation
Be degree qualified in electrical engineering, or closely associated course
Must be enthusiastic, adaptable and be driven to provide efficient engineering solutions
Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision to lead teams to deliver engineering outputs to time and budget
Professional Qualification (IEng / CEng MIET) is desirable
