Overview

Stratos Controls Ltd. has been providing system Integration and Automation Support services for a wide range of industries for almost 30 years. We work extensively in the food, manufacturing, and energy generation sectors and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team.We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. As an Electrical Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions and contributing to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

The Rolerequires the candidate to generate the following, specific for individual jobs:

Initial basic concept design, working with the end customer & in-house design requirements Electrical schematic diagrams - Cad work Instrument loop diagrams - if required PLC wiring diagrams and I/O schedules Panel layouts Fully populated parts list / BOM, based around schematics generated Order placement of items, ensuring delivery requirements are achieved LV distribution and cable calculations - if required Machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments to BS EN ISO 13849/60261 - Technical documents Be able assist in the day to day running / job planning of ongoing works

Experience

Excellent verbal and written communication An basic understanding of PLC, HMI, and SCADA software, some experience would be beneficial Able to work as part of a multidiscipline team or on solo projects Work under time constraints Understanding of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet etc) Any experience in safety systems design and programming would be highly advantageous Knowledge of Siemens PLC preferred however, open to considering experience of other market leading systems - training will be given Available for occasional late working & working away when a project requires it, this may well include weekend working Able to understand electrical drawings Able to fault find on existing systems, with & in some cases without drawings Experience working in an engineering environment. Clean driving license

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 45,000.00-55,000.00 per year
