The Role
As an
Electrical Design Engineer
, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for Automated process control systems. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering innovative solutions, for a diverse range of industries such as Chemical, Food & Beverage, Marine and OEM Controls.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and layouts using CAD software.
Conduct power calculations, load analysis, and component selection.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and production teams to integrate electrical systems.
Create and review technical documentation, including specifications and test procedures.
Support manufacturing, testing, and commissioning processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues.
Keep up to date with advancements in electrical engineering technologies.
Liaise with end users to ensure optimum solutions
Oversee testing of completed panels
Oversee installation and commissioning activities (where applicable)
Requirements
5 years proven experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in relevant industry [e.g., automotive, aerospace, manufacturing].
Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and power distribution.
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, BS).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Optional Requirements
Ability to download PLC programs to Siemens/Rockwell/Omron/PILZ.
PLC/HMI programming experience.
