About the Role:

We're recruiting for an experienced and creative

Designer

to join a well-established utilities and infrastructure contractor based in Walsall. The successful candidate will be working within a dedicated design and consultancy team, producing detailed technical drawings and supporting a wide range of electrical and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce accurate 2D CAD drawings and design documentation. Work closely with engineers and project managers to deliver design solutions for HV/LV network, civil, and renewable energy projects. Interpret specifications, site surveys, and client requirements. Ensure designs meet all relevant standards and safety regulations. Maintain accurate documentation, version control, and drawing records. Contribute to design improvements and internal technical reviews.

Ideal Candidate:

Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software. Previous experience within utilities, power, renewables, or infrastructure sectors preferred. Strong technical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Relevant design qualification or equivalent practical experience.
