Overview of Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Systems Engineer to support the development, production, and optimisation of our electric vehicles. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly as they apply to electric vehicle systems.
Key responsibilities include developing innovative solutions for electric vehicle power systems and collaborating closely with the wider engineering team to deliver high quality, functional vehicle designs that comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem?solving abilities to address complex integration challenges and will have previously held similar roles, with a minimum of five years' experience. They should be proficient in software packages such as MATLAB, Rapid Harness, Zuken, and Harnwarn. Experience working with voltages up to 1 kV would be advantageous, though not essential, as appropriate training can be provided.
Role Responsibilities
Assume ownership of high and low voltage loom designs, aligned to Munro's platform architecture, processing and track engineering changes and keep drawings up to date.
Liaise with harness and electronic component manufacturers to enact change content and resolve quality issues when required.
Support R&D projects with prototyping and trials, planning physical integration and testing, understanding the potential impact on the whole vehicle and interfacing systems.
Assume responsibility for end of line commissioning of vehicle systems and resolving quality issues and provide technical guidance and advice to design and production teams.
Support the team with diagnostics, field repairs, and telematics data.
Conduct system performance analysis and implement improvements and industry best practices where necessary.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
