We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Electrical engineer. We require past experience working as an electrical engineer, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical systems and the relevant equipment- with the ability to apply this effectively on site. Adherence to statutory health and safety legislations and electrical safety standards is a key elements to this role.
Communication skills are integral to this position. You must posses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills allow for effective collaboration on projects, with a range of project teams and stake holders. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work regular overtime hours and occasional extended travel (overnight stays) dependent on project circumstances. We are looking for a candidate who has strong problem solving abilities and can identify and resolve electrical issue efficiently.
Job Responsibilities and duties:

Electrical inspections and testing:
Execute thorough electrical inspections and testing works, in compliance with industry regulations and current standards
Conduct routine and reactive electrical maintenance and repairs. Ensuring safe and efficient operations of electrical systems on site.

Project technical support:
Assist our project teams by providing your technical expertise. Ensure electrical systems are correctly installed and comply to specifications.

Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve electrical faults and issues to minimise downtime and maintain project momentum and project timelines.

Overtime and travel:
You must be flexible and available for overtime. The role includes occasional extended stays away from home to support project deadlines.

Documentation:
It is essential to maintain accurate and current records of electrical activities. These include reports, compliance certificates and project records.

Health and safety:
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and regulations. Ensuring all projects always adhere to statutory electrical safety standards.

Licenses and Certifications:
Possess all relevant licences and certifications to carry out electrical work. An IPAF license is not essential but would be advantageous.

A full UK driving licence
