Introduction
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a large energy company within the UK. You would be responsible for carrying out PPM, fault-finding and reactive maintenance on a variety of Electrical equipment in power stations.

This role is a travelling role, you would use the nearest site as your \'home base\' and then travel to other sites around England as required by the business.
Roles & Responsibilities
As Electrical Engineer you will be traveling to various sites around the UK and responsible for:

  • Working with the site teams on outage, managing a scope of work and ensuring it is completed in a timely manner.
  • Managing your own scope of work, this will include working on Electrical equipment such as High Voltage switchgear, generators, transformers, rotating plant motors etc.
  • Acting as the technical authority in relation to design standards, codes of practice and legislation.
  • The execution of site electrical projects safely and within budget.
  • Developing asset management strategies.
  • Identifying areas of improvement across the plant to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure maintenance plans and targets for the team are achieved safely, on time and within budget and to the correct quality within the environmental limits of the station.
  • Directing and supervising on site contractors.
  • Ensuring HSE compliance at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification such as HNC/HND/Degree.
  • Have previous experience in Electrical maintenance or engineering in a heavy process environment. This may have been gained in a Power Station (Energy from Waste, Coal, CCGT, Biomass, CHP, Nuclear etc.), Chemical Plant, Refinery or Pharmaceutical site etc.
  • Have significant experience working with high voltage equipment, generators, transformers etc.
  • A Safety qualification such as IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent
