Seniority Level:Applicants must have completed Level 2 Engineering, to be considered for this position.
These apprenticeship roles report to the Reliability manager or relevant department FLM when on site. You will be joining part of a multi-skilled team who is responsible for supporting the Packaging, Brewing, Utilities Quality departments through consistent professional delivery of effective and efficient maintenance in order to maximise equipment availability and uptime. The team is responsible for routine maintenance and inspection, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis/rectification on automated & PLC controlled equipment, automated packing machinery and site services (compressors, fridge and boiler plant) across all areas of the brewery.
Training will be provided to elevate successful candidates in their chosen discipline to an agreed standard. To support equipment optimisation, utilisation, performance and reliability in accordance with maintenance reliability measures and recommendations. A training plan will be provided and followed in order to reach a successful conclusion for seamless integration into the team.
Level 3 apprenticeship training will be provided, Level 2 must have already been completed, as a requirement for the role. Training is provided through Burnley College.
Key ResponsibilitiesUse different systems and processes to ensure that facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output Ensure that plant and equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate production targets regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost within High Value Manufacturing environments Work on a broad range of activities including installation, testing, fault finding and the on-going planned maintenance of complex automated equipment Apply of a complex blend of skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours across the electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power and control systems disciplines Use and interpret a range of engineering data sources and supporting documentation Utilise lean techniques to improve efficiency & effectiveness Where appropriate, support installation, testing and commissioning of a wide range of equipment Carry out complex fault diagnosis and repair on high technology engineered systems Support the maintenance of mechanical equipment Support the maintenance of fluid & pneumatic power equipment Support the maintenance of electrical & electronic equipment Support the maintenance of process control equipment Support and minimise machinery downtime by carrying out preventative planned maintenance * Confirm testing and subsequent smooth hand over of equipment & plant
