Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially savvy Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who can not only produce accurate and competitive estimates but also has a knack for building relationships and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating & Technical Duties:

Review project plans, specifications, and electrical requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to gather pricing and technical information. Perform quantity take-offs using estimating software and/or manual methods. Analyse labour, material, and time requirements for tenders and project bids. Identify cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options where applicable. Prepare tender submissions with clear breakdowns and justifications.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Building:

Identify and target new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Attend site visits, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company. Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, consultants, and developers. Collaborate with the marketing team on strategies to enhance the company's visibility and win rate. Track market trends and competitor activity to inform business development tactics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction or electrical contracting industry. Solid understanding of UK electrical codes, standards, and market pricing. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, ConEst, or equivalent). Strong organisational and time management abilities. A self-starter mentality with a business-minded approach.

Preferred:

Experience in client-facing roles or sales environments. A qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field. Familiarity with CRM systems for managing client interactions.

Pay: 55,000.00-65,000.00 per year
