Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: 38,000 - 45,000 per annum (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Electrician / Electrical Estimator to join our team in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical installations across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and cost estimation procedures, with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation: Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to produce detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates.

Tendering: Prepare comprehensive tender submissions, ensuring all project costs are accounted for and competitive.

Site Visits: Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements and potential challenges.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure estimates align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

Project Monitoring: Track ongoing projects to compare actual costs with estimated budgets and adjust future estimations accordingly.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all estimates comply with relevant electrical standards, regulations, and safety codes.

Essential:

At least 3 years' experience as an Electrician / Electrical Estimator or in a similar role. Must be a fully qualified Electrician.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, data cabling, fire alarms, and other electrical installations.

Excellent understanding of UK electrical regulations and standards.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.

Full UK driving licence.
