We are recruiting for 3x Electrical Fitters for the South East Region to work on SSEN projects from areas - Basingstoke, Hungerford, Mannington, Iver, Preston Candover, Haslingbourne, Portsmouth & surrounding areas

Mechanical Fitters

to join a well developed team delivering work on

SSEN Substation Projects

across the South of England.

You'll be part of a skilled engineering team responsible for installation, maintenance, and refurbishment of mechanical and electrical systems within HV substations, supporting ongoing infrastructure and network upgrade works.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, assembly, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment on HV substations. Working to SSEN and National Grid standards and procedures. Supporting commissioning activities and liaising with civil teams. Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company and client safety requirements. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Requirements

Proven experience working on

HV substation projects

(132kV / 275kV / 400kV).

Recognised

Electrical or Mechanical

(NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Strong understanding of substation safety procedures and mechanical systems.

SSE Authorisations

highly desirable. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between regional sites.
