We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee electrical commercial fit out projects and ensure that work is completed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of electrical systems. As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for managing a team of electricians, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily site operations and manage electrical teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project.
Ensure that all electrical installations comply with relevant regulations and safety standards and to the project specification.
Plan and coordinate work schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
Liaise with project managers, clients, and other contractors/ trades to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
Train and mentor junior electricians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Track project progress and assist with material ordering and scheduling.
Experience
Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the electrical industry.
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)
ECS Gold Card (Foreman/Supervisor)
Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
Experience in commercial projects
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and installation techniques.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to electrical work is essential.
