Job Description

Due to continual growth, Fox Electrical Contractors Ltd. have a new opportunity available for a permanent, full-time Estimator/Bidder.

The role requires a candidate who will be responsible for:

Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment Establishing and maintaining excellent relations with both builders, professional teams and directly with end user clients Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame and maintaining a cost database Assessing the risk levels associated with a project Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers Monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs Liaise with Client and Principal contractor at design and progress meetings.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

3 Years minimum experience in a similar role.
Estimating knowledge and pricing, prepare and submit competitive tender packages with values ranging from our small works department to 5m+
Interpreting drawings and specifications, undertaking material take-off's and ordering of materials.

Competent with computer software to include:

o Microsoft word, excel, project, access and power point.

o AutoCAD

o Any estimating software

Able to manage a wide range of projects, including small works, new build and refurbishments

Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards.

A good communicator with an organised and methodical approach to completion of projects.

Commercially aware with a good grasp of operating under different forms of contracts

Full driving licence
