Role Overview:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Electrical HV Electricians/Fitters to join our team. This role is suited for individuals with a solid background in high voltage substation work at 33kV and above, capable of delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair works in line with design specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair work on HV substation equipment.
Install steel structures, transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and associated equipment.
Wire control panels, kiosks, and auxiliary equipment in accordance with technical drawings.
Install and maintain earthing systems.
Work safely under issued safety documentation (e.g. Permits to Work).
Comply with all site health & safety requirements and company policies.
Assist in commissioning activities when required.
Accurately complete site documentation and daily work reports.
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience working on substations at 33kV and above.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Strong practical skills in HV installation and maintenance.
Knowledge of safe systems of work within HV environments.
Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications:
ECS/CSCS Card.
Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering.
SSSTS or similar site safety qualification.
First Aid training.
AP (Authorised Person) or SAP (Senior Authorised Person) training.
