Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced and proactive Electrical HV Working Supervisors to join our growing team. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid background in high voltage (HV) substation work at 33kV and above who are ready to lead teams on-site while also contributing hands-on when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage site teams of 2-8 electricians and HV fitters.

Plan and lead the installation of HV equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and steel support structures.

Oversee the installation and wiring of control panels, kiosks, and earthing systems.

Ensure all work is completed in line with electrical design drawings, safety standards, and project specifications.

Hold and manage site safety documents (e.g. Permits to Work, RAMS).

Enforce and promote a strong health & safety culture on site.

Provide daily reports, complete documentation accurately, and maintain project records.

Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other contractors.

Participate in hands-on work when necessary to support the team and meet deadlines.

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience working on substations at 33kV and above.

Prior experience as an HV electrician/fitter with strong technical competency.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

Demonstrable experience in team supervision and site management.

Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.

Good IT and documentation skills (Word, Excel, daily reports, etc.).

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

ECS/CSCS Card (Supervisory or Management level preferred).

SSSTS or SMSTS Certification.

Manual Handling, First Aid, or other relevant H&S training.

Training or certification in AP (Authorised Person) or Senior Authorised Person roles.

Competency in MEWP, confined space, or overhead line work (if relevant).
