The Opportunity
You will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Electrical qualifications, supporting students from Level 2 through to higher education courses. You will guide learners through practical workshops and classroom sessions, helping them develop both the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills required for a career in the Electrical industry. Your role will allow you to make a meaningful contribution to students' learning journeys, preparing them for future employment and further study.
You will work closely with Course Leaders to design and develop curriculum materials that reflect current industry standards. This includes creating schemes of work, lesson plans, and innovative teaching resources, as well as assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback. Your input will help ensure that courses remain relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry expectations.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to bring real-world industry experience into the classroom, building links with employers and incorporating practical insights into your teaching. You will provide both academic and pastoral support, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where students can develop confidence and achieve their potential.

About You
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Installation lecturer with a strong background in both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. You will have relevant experience working in the Electrical industry, allowing you to bring real-world knowledge into the classroom and inspire students in their learning and future careers.
You should be able to motivate students to attend and achieve, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. You will be confident in assessing student work and providing clear, constructive feedback to guide their progress. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, enabling you to explain complex concepts clearly and maintain effective relationships with learners and colleagues.
The ideal candidate will be approachable, committed to student success, and able to support learners across a range of levels from Level 2 through to higher education. You will also contribute to curriculum development, departmental initiatives, and activities such as enrolment, marketing, and quality assurance, while actively engaging in professional development to enhance your teaching practice.

Required
Teaching qualification (must be
willing to work towards PGCE
if Level 5 not already held)
Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent qualification)
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
Relevant experience of working in industry relating to electrical installation
