TITLE: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Responsible To: Electrical Maintenance Manager

To maintain high speed semi-automated equipment producing thermostats and safety cut outs for the automotive industry and to service the electrical needs of the building and site.

Working 38 hours per week on a rotating 2 shift system, 0600-1400 and 1400-2200 Monday to Friday. Overtime, if available, is paid at 1x Monday to Saturday and 2x on Sundays

Ideally candidates should be qualified to a Level 3 in electrical discipline, have served a formal apprenticeship and be able to demonstrate the ability to:

Attend and repair any Electrical Breakdowns, ordering spares if required. Utilise spares and keep stocks at an appropriate level, assessing stocks periodically to maintain said level. Repair faults with Fire Alarm/ADT utilising a callout with external Engineers if required. Build and update panels - using in house CAD drawings, with Tri rated cabling, bootlace ferrules, panel trunking etc. Carry out general electrical repairs, Emergency Lighting, General Lighting, Sockets, Mains Power. Assist in moving machinery by removing machine supplies, disconnecting ancillaries and re-installing when moved. Update existing machines with PLC's that at present have Micro Controllers and that can be changed over efficiently and cost effectively. Order parts using the P.O system when required for Breakdowns/Jobs Request, Electrical repairs or updates. Assist in Electrical Installation were required for new machines, offices, lighting etc. Liaise with suppliers/contractors by email/phone - acquiring quotes or for machine repairs. Utilise a methodical approach to their working practices with a keen eye for detail
