Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and keeping operations running smoothly? We're looking for a proactive and safety-conscious Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in maintaining and improving our electrical systems.
What You'll Be Doing:
Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Execute preventative maintenance schedules and respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Use expert fault-finding techniques to identify and fix issues in motors, switchgear, PLCs, and power distribution systems.
Installations & Upgrades: Install and enhance electrical systems, interpreting technical drawings and occasionally designing improvements.
Testing & Inspection: Ensure compliance with regulations through routine testing and certification of systems like emergency lighting and fire alarms.
Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and follow permit-to-work systems, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate records using CMMS for all maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production teams, and contractors to coordinate activities and share technical expertise.
Continuous Improvement: Analyse data to identify efficiency gains and boost system reliability.
What We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 or ONC/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (e.g., City & Guilds 2382-18).
Inspection & Testing certifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395) - highly desirable.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs, VFDs).
Proficiency with electrical testing equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Safety-focused with great attention to detail.
Flexible, resilient, and able to thrive under pressure.
