Job Description

Apprentice trained in mechanical and electrical engineering with PUWER certification.

Relevant experience with industry-standard repair equipment such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and hand tools is required.

Drive safe standards of work across the facility, taking a hands-on approach to repairs and maintenance with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsible for managing subcontractor activities, ensuring relevant documentation is completed prior to commencing work onsite (RAMs, site induction, relevant safety certifications).

Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, and we expect all team member to adhere to safe practices at all times when working at Jenks, for the wellbeing of themselves and their colleagues.

Experience:

Broad electrical and mechanical knowledge, with a bias towards electrical fault finding. Experience working with power presses is essential. Experience working with laser cutters, pressbrakes, industrial robots, spot welders, MIG/MAG weld sets and CNC equipment desirable.

Skills:

Excellent communication Efficient problem solving Competent at reading and understanding electrical and hydraulic diagrams. Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Requirement for a maintenance site lead with proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a bias towards electrical maintenance.

Duties include - but not limited to:

Responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained to a safe working standard. React promptly to safety concerns where maintenance support is required. Fault finding when machine breakdowns occur, and arrange external support as required to minimise downtime. Carry out TPM activities onsite, utilising personal skills alongside service contracts to ensure adherence to programme.
Contribute and engage with CI activities where required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 32,000.00 per year
