Electrical Maintenance Technician - Paper Industry

Salary: \xc2\xa345000 + 10% bonus + enhanced benefits

Monday to Friday - Days (8am - 4pm)

Location: Barrow-In-Furness - (Relocators will be considered for financial support)

To continue their growth & remarkable market share they are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician to join one of their high performing teams. The Technician will work in a team of 6, to ensure production targets are met, supporting the reliability plans, and continuous improvement activities in the plant.

The Role:

  • You will support the site activities required to deliver the site reliability strategy, driving asset performance.
  • Support the delivery of all line performance targets.
  • Prepare and Lead Planned Maintenance activities including all scheduled Planned Maintenance shuts.
  • Use data on machinery failures performance to problem solve to root cause.
  • Coach and support the Operator through skill development and mentoring.
  • You will use your skills & experience to utilise proactive maintenance tools and techniques to benefit long-term asset reliability.
  • Support project teams with modifications, installations, and continuous improvement activity
The Person:
  • Qualified to HNC/ONC level in an Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent (Ideally an apprenticeship)
  • Other experience: Basic PLC\'s (Siemens) and Rockwell Automation.
o Previous knowledge/experience with Robotics would also be highly desirable.

o Process Control Knowledge (instrumentation) desirable but not essential.

o DCS knowledge would also be highly desirable.

o Previous experience working with high voltage equipment - although not essential as they will offer training to support this.
  • You have proven experience of working within a fast-paced environment, ideally within FMCG, Process, or a fast-paced manufacturing company. (Paper making industry experience would be highly desirable.
  • Can read/interpret electrical schematic drawings.
  • You are ambitious to succeed, career minded with a focus on delivery and results.
  • You are familiar with working in a culture of continuous improvement and enjoy using your skills to come up with solutions.
