Taylor Studwelding Systems are looking for a practical and reliable Assembly Technician to join our friendly manufacturing team in Dewsbury. This is a secure, Monday-Friday role working on the assembly and testing of our stud welding equipment, ideal for someone with a hands-on mechanical or electrical equipment/ electronics background and experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment. You'll be involved in building products, carrying out functional checks, and supporting occasional servicing or repairs. Taylor Studwelding Systems are looking for an adaptable assembly technician to join our team. The position would suit a candidate with manufacturing experience.

The principal objective of this role is to work within the manufacturing team assembling a variety of products, the products are constructed from a mixture of electrical components, electronics, sheet metal and moulded plastic parts. You will be required to functionally test and follow commissioning procedures, making the products ready for sale.

Additionally, there will be a requirement to troubleshoot customer product queries, assisting with our repair and servicing support, this may involve on-site customer visits or resolving factory returns.

Taylor Studwelding equipment provides a reliable and accurate welding process with many world class companies relying on our services, occasionally, you will be required to follow our calibration procedures, calibrating products returned for their annual calibration check.

Taylor Studwelding provides a wide variety of equipment for spot hire. You will be required to control the Hire Pool Equipment, ensuring all product is functionally tested and repaired, if necessary, along with safety testing before and after hire.

A training program will be provided, giving plenty of opportunity to become completely acquainted with our team, giving you the range and depth of knowledge of our welding equipment and specialist welding processes.

Knowledge Requirements



5 GCSEs including Maths and English

Ideally, but not essential, a higher education qualification or other work-related engineering experience.

Technical Skills:



Understanding of safety-critical work and best practice.

Knowledge of electronic systems and circuits.

Familiarity with electrical safety test equipment (PAT), DVMs and Oscilloscopes.

Experience:



Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Experience in electrical product assembly & manufacturing.

Experience in providing fault diagnosis in a methodical, professional manner.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety policy.
