About the Role



We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Electrical, PCB & Embedded Systems Engineer

to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of electronic and electrical systems, from concept through to production. This position combines

PCB design

,

embedded programming

,

PLC programming and control system design

, and

electrical panel design

, with hands-on work to support modifications and assembly.

Key Responsibilities:



PCB Design & Development



Design PCB layouts in

Altium Designer

primarily based on

ARM Cortex-M

microcontrollers (STM32 series). Generate and manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and place component orders. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of manufactured boards. Perform basic soldering or modification of simple components when required. Work with I

C, SPI,

and other communication interfaces, including integration with sensors and peripherals.

Embedded Systems Development



Develop and maintain firmware for STM32 microcontrollers using

C/C++

within

STM32CubeIDE

. Support legacy projects based on

AVR

microcontrollers (

BASCOM

/Basic language). Upgrade and modify existing firmware for both STM32 and AVR platforms. Collaborate with hardware design engineers to integrate embedded software with PCB designs. Experience with

Modbus

(serial),

CAN bus

(CAN open), including hands-on coding experience with these protocols. Work with graphical LCDs, HMIs and user interface integration.

Electrical & Circuit Design



Use

EPLAN Electric

software or

AutoCAD Electrical

to design electrical schematics and panel layouts. Prepare wiring diagrams and documentation for production. Support the assembly of electrical control panels, ensuring compliance with design standards. Design and implement

analogue circuits

,

filters

, and sensor interfaces (e.g., pressure, accelerometers, distance/thickness measurement sensors). Develop switching power circuits such as buck converters for embedded boards and systems. Involvement in micro-UPS design for embedded applications.

Panel Assembly & Wiring



Assist with wiring and final assembly of control panels. Collaborate with technicians to ensure smooth integration into equipment

Applicant Requirements:



Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in

PCB design

and BOM management. Proficiency in

EPLAN

(or similar electrical CAD tools). Strong knowledge of

embedded systems programming

: STM32 microcontrollers with

C/C++

in

STM32CubeIDE

. AVR microcontrollers with

BASCOM/Basic

. Hands-on experience with electrical panel wiring and assembly. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment. Ability to carry out

partial PCB modifications

, including

SMD soldering and rework

. Experience with

PLC programming

(Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley) using

Ladder.

Ability to program and integrate

HMIs

alongside PLC control. Knowledge and hands-on understanding of

pneumatics

, as it forms a strong part of our system design.
Package is negotiable dependant on skills and experience.

Pay: 39,516.12-83,793.72 per year
