As the Electrical Technical Manager, you will be accountable for the initiation, planning, execution, regulation and final completion of project electrical specification. You will be responsible for delivering outputs, providing technical guidance to the team operations and achieving the agreed goals set within the project scope, to realise commercially successful outcomes, on time, to high quality standards and with great customer satisfaction. The role will predominantly be office based, with visits to the factory, sites around the UK, consultant offices and client locations as required. You will be working in the design team, assisting with any electrical technical queries, identifying innovation during design development and ensuring the design deliverables meet the client's expectations.
Accountabilities:
Safe delivery of projects to agreed time and development of commissioning programmes
Customer satisfaction on projects with large focus on commissioning standards and certification
Delivery of agreed carbon reduction and social value targets on projects through front end product specification
Identification, management and mitigation of cost, commercial, time and reputational risk and opportunity on projects, including compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards
Coordination of Controls strategy and installation compliance on projects
Roles and Responsibilities:
Be the central point for all electrical technical matters throughout project lifecycles, promoting best practice and company policies at each stage
Coordinate and drive Enlight10 teams (Design Management, Commercial Management, Production, Site Operations and Aftercare) to ensure that Client, Project and Enlight10 objectives are met and the client receives a seamless and flawless project delivery experience
Cultivate, own and maintain effective relationships with the client and all stakeholders
Develop a detailed project commissioning plan and use this to drive teams to ensure that key project milestones are met
Develop project and package scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility with design intent
Manage and maintain effective and efficient project procedures and processes, including:
Technical Briefing and client engagement (CEM)
Design management (in conjunction with design managers)
Change control
Risk and opportunity management
Coordination of consultants and sub-contractors
Handover planning and management (in conjunction with Project Managers)
Project performance management and reporting
Collaboration, information exchange, comprehensive record keeping and document management in the Common Data Environment (CDE)
Management and timely close out of tasks and actions across the team
Adopt a 'no surprises' approach in all aspects of communication, both internally and externally
Guiding the clients throughout all project stages, providing frequent, high-quality communication and developing strong relationships.
Work with the project manager to ensure that timeframe targets and testing documentation are met throughout the project
Follow up with external stakeholders to ensure timely response
Work with the commercial team to highlight and manage changes to project scope to drive commercially successful projects, as well as establishing budgets for the site operations team and negotiating contracts with external vendors
Oversee and drive the design stage process, working with the Design Manager to develop a coordinated set of Contractors Proposals whilst achieving the Employer's Requirements
Guide projects through the planning application process including pre-app process with the local authority, work alongside consultants to submit successful planning applications, and discharging of planning conditions.
Work alongside the commercial team to negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met with the operations team
Ensure the highest H&S standards are maintained at all times and that Enlight10 effectively deliver and discharge their responsibilities under the CDM Regulations
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Ensure that the required BIM standards are met
Key Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to pass on information clearly and accurately
A solid understanding of BIM requirements
Able to effectively chair and lead meetings
Exemplary customer service and strong interpersonal skills
Excellent team player with the ability to work competently and independently without supervision
The ability to operate analysis and communication software such as MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
The ability to quickly upskill in platforms and software used at Enlight10
A goal-oriented mindset and good organisational skills

The ability to understand and apply feedback on work performance
