About Operations

The Operations division is at the heart of our customers\' experience here at THG. We Manufacture a wide range of sports nutrition and cosmetic consumer goods that we then dispatch to our customers in over 200 countries worldwide from our purpose-built, innovative manufacturing and distribution centres.

About the Role

The Engineering/Facilities team are responsible for maintaining all THG sites, ensuring that all colleagues and visitors are in a clean, safe environment while on site.

As an Electrician Technician, you will perform day-to-day maintenance for reactive, quoted and planned tasks, compliance inspections and regulatory inspections against the building\'s electrical infrastructure and on-site assets.

Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and rectify faults of an electrical/ electronic nature, using wiring diagrams, manuals, drawings and test equipment, for all plant, equipment and services
  • Follow electrical/ electronic planned maintenance programs
  • Recondition and repair electrical and electronic components, controls and equipment.
  • Utilise and follow administration control systems of the maintenance and associated departments in the normal course of employment as an electrician
  • Initiate and carry out electrical/ electronic modifications to new and existing plant equipment and services.
  • Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations
  • Escort and manage specialist contractors and work beside them as required
  • Respond, diagnose and resolve electrical emergencies
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
  • Perform other tasks assigned as requested
  • There is a good degree of flexibility required in the role therefore there will be other general maintenance tasks assigned from time to time depending on the business needs.
Role Requirements
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous Electrical Experience, Lighting, Wiring, Alarm Systems, and Fire Prevention Systems
  • Knowledge of building regulations and standards, safety regulations, and safety practices
  • Ability to read and follow electrical drawings.
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391)
  • Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan ahead.
  • Able to prioritize work and manage their own time.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • \'Can do\' attitude.
  • High level of H+S Awareness.
  • Good level of computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office packages.
  • Relevant electrical qualification e.g. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Diploma
