The Role

We are currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our expert engineering team at our Leeds head office. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for conducting factory acceptance testing (FAT) on our advanced cremation and incineration machinery prior to shipment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on highly specialised equipment, ensuring quality, compliance, and functionality at every stage of the testing process.

What You'll Do:

Conduct FAT on complex cremation and incineration systems, ensuring high performance and safety standards. Prepare and complete all necessary FAT documentation and ensure KPIs are consistently updated. Review and interpret technical drawings and design documentation to support testing procedures. Liaise with internal engineering teams, external partners, and customers throughout the testing process. Maintain accurate records of all work performed and document results clearly. Support occasional site visits (domestic and international) when required to meet business needs.

What We're Looking For:

Recognised electrical qualification and proven experience in electrical testing. Experience testing and fault finding on complex mechanical and electrical machinery. Familiarity with PLC systems and ability to interrogate PLC software. Previous experience commissioning equipment in a manufacturing or engineering setting. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timelines. Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset. Confident working independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel and hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
