Job Title: General Labourer / Electrician's Mate (Trainee)

About the Role:

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Labourer who is keen to progress into the role of an Electrician's Mate. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is hands-on, organised, and looking to build a career in the electrical trade. You'll work closely with experienced electricians across a range of commercial and domestic projects, gaining valuable skills and knowledge along the way.

There will be periods when there is less electrical work available, and during these times, you will be expected to carry out general labouring duties. Flexibility is important, and you may also occasionally be required to work evenings or weekends to support project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting electricians with installation and maintenance work General labouring duties including lifting, carrying, and site setup Keeping work areas clean and safe Handling tools, materials, and stock Completing and managing basic paperwork, such as job sheets and timesheets Maintaining an organised approach to work and materials Learning basic electrical tasks with the potential for progression
Requirements:

CSCS card, ECS card, or equivalent (essential) Full UK driving licence (essential) Physically fit and comfortable with manual work Punctual, reliable, and hard-working Organised with the ability to manage paperwork and tasks methodically Positive attitude and a genuine interest in electrical work Willingness to be flexible with tasks and working hours Previous site experience or experience assisting tradespeople is beneficial
