We are an established electrical engineering company based in Ossett, West Yorkshire. We operate on both a local and national basis, working predominantly within industrial manufacturing environments. Our client base is diverse and also includes a range of commercial projects.
Due to continued expansion we are seeking a reliable and motivated Electrician's Mate to support qualified electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The role involves assisting on-site with practical tasks, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Assist electricians with the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
Prepare tools, materials, and work areas prior to tasks
Carry out basic electrical work under supervision, including containment, cable pulling, and terminations where permitted
Follow drawings, plans, and instructions accurately
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Report any issues, defects, or safety concerns to the supervising electrician
Support general site duties as required
Requirements
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools
Willingness to learn and develop skills within the electrical trade
Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions
Good timekeeping and a strong work ethic
Awareness of health and safety practices on site
Relevant CSCS/ECS card (or willingness to obtain)
Previous experience in a similar role is essential
Full clean driving license

Working Hours
You must be able to travel daily to/from our office/workshop in
Ossett
.
We work all over the country therefore will require flexibility to work away frequently
Early starts and late finishes will be required
Standard working hours are
40 hours per week
, Monday to Friday
Evening and weekend work may be required on an ad-hoc basis
Overtime will be paid at enhanced rates
