Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical systems and be capable of performing a variety of electrical tasks across different environments - particularly schools, health trusts, businesses and private houses. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical systems, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety regulations and standards. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they develop into problems. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete electrical tasks accurately and safely. Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic tools and techniques to determine the root cause of issues. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation and repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects within specified timeframes. Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety legislation, maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for future reference.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures. Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws. Demonstrable electrical experience with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately. Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality work standards. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Valid UK driving licence is essential. As we are also a security installation company, the ideal candidate may also be involved in the installation of Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV Systems and Door Access Control.

Pay: 16.00-20.00 per hour
