Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our long-term kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programme within occupied social housing properties across the Liverpool area. This role involves carrying out first and second fix electrical installations, ensuring all works are completed to current regulations, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out first and second fix electrical installations within kitchens and bathrooms as part of a planned maintenance programme.
Install and upgrade wiring systems, consumer units, sockets, lighting, isolators, extractor fans, and associated fixtures.
Conduct electrical testing, fault finding, and necessary remedial works.
Ensure all work complies with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and company standards.
Work within occupied properties, maintaining a professional and courteous approach with tenants at all times.
Complete job sheets, certification, and documentation accurately using handheld devices or paper as required.
Liaise with site supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth delivery of the programme.
Adhere strictly to health & safety guidelines and site protocols.
Requirements
Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
Experience working within social housing or domestic maintenance environments.
Ability to complete first and second fix works efficiently and to a high standard.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to work in occupied homes respectfully.
Full UK driving licence and own tools/transport preferred.
