PV & ESS Technical Surveyor

35,000 - 40,000 per annum

About the role

We're looking for a

PV & Energy Storage Technical Surveyor

to visit customers

after sale

, carry out thorough site surveys, and complete the

survey paperwork

that finalises jobs for installation. You'll validate designs, capture accurate site information, and be the friendly, professional face of DES at the first visit.

Key responsibilities

Conduct on-site surveys (roof/ground measurements, photos, cable routes, CU/meter layouts, battery/EV locations, comms & CT points) Validate design and performance assumptions (arrays, inverters, batteries, protection, export limits, monitoring) Produce accurate, structured

survey packs

for design/installation teams Set clear expectations with customers; answer technical questions and identify risks early Liaise with internal teams to smooth handover from sale to installation Update drawings/notes as required (SLDs/as-built) and maintain tidy documentation

Essential requirements

Previous

electrical installation

experience Good understanding of

PV system design and function

(DC/AC, protection, comms/monitoring) Strong customer-facing skills and clear written documentation Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Dorset/surrounding areas Right to work in the UK

Desirable

Familiarity with

SolarEdge, SolaX, Tesla (Powerwall), Solis, SunSynk

(and similar) Comfortable reading SLDs, datasheets, and DNO requirements 18th Edition / NVQ L3 (or equivalent) and H&S awareness
