Job Description

TP Fire & Security, a BAFE accredited industry leading provider of Fire Protection and Security systems who have been established for over 35 years, are looking for an experienced Electrician/Fire Alarm Engineer to join the team. Candidate must have sound knowledge and experience of repairing and replacing emergency lights and has some knowledge of fire alarms.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience in repairs and installation of Fire Alarms and Emergency Lighting systems for an NSI & BAFE registered company Must have good working knowledge and experience of the British Standards & BAFE standards including BS5839 Installing various fire alarm and systems in both industrial and commercial premises Complete small and larger installations as part of a team or on your own Project a high level of quality customer services at all times To ensure that the relevant documentation is fully completed in an accurate and timely manner - including instructions, timesheets, work reports, service reports and expense claims and vehicle safety checks. The reactive and preventative maintenance of fire & security systems Actively support at all times, company policy and best practice. Maintaining/developing good relations with clients and colleagues. Taking an active part in the on-call system (negotiable) Ability to diagnose faults and propose solutions without supervision Must be competent in IT related products for Security and Communication devices and Computer literate in MS Office suite (preferably Word & Excel) Share technical and problem solving ability skills and knowledge with colleagues and maintain good relationships within the team. Comply with all company SHEQ procedures and complete all necessary Health & Safety training. Wear Personal Protective Equipment provided by the company as required and to take care of and request replacement equipment as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Be compliant with the latest BS7671 regs Permit to work in the UK (foreign National) Must have a full, clean driving licence An ECS or CSCS card is desirable Must be self-motivated, well presented and have diligent work ethic as working remotely from the office Must be able to satisfy vetting to BS7858 and Enhanced DBS checks will be required for this role Customer focussed Inquisitive, diligent, and logical Articulate, with good administration skill An electronics qualification and knowledge of Security would be an advantage
