Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will lead Value Engineering and Cost Down initiatives across Sontay's Product range, ensuring a smooth transfer of new products into manufacturing and the optimisation of existing offerings. This role is a key technical resource in solving any product or process issues that arise, both internally and across the supply chain, where required.

Duties

Design and develop electro-mechanical systems and components. Conduct detailed analysis and testing of new designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues in electro-mechanical systems. Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics and diagrams. Ensure systems comply with safety and regulatory standards. Work on improving the efficiency and reliability of existing electro-mechanical systems. Manage project timelines and milestones effectively. Liaise with suppliers and vendors for component selection and procurement. Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering teams. Stay updated with the latest advancements in electro-mechanical engineering.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in electro-mechanical system design. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience with embedded systems and firmware development. Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools. Proven track record of managing engineering projects successfully. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with automation and robotics. Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles. Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
