Fike Safety Technology Ltd (FST) is located in Cwmbran and specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of Fire Detection and Fire Suppression products for European compliant markets.
About the role
Due to an increase in demand we are looking to expand our manufacturing capacity.
As part of a production assembly team working flexibly across different production sections key tasks for the position are:
Using small handheld tools and solder iron to solder small electronic components for assembly.
Assembly of electronic products including PCB assembly
Work efficiently to achieve assembly targets and maintain flow
Carry out work complying with current health and safety standards and requirements.
Ensure best practice management of all materials and equipment.
Collect and supply data for daily performance and non-conformance metrics.
Follow and maintain housekeeping procedures (5S) and participate in 5S audits.
Follow instructions accurately (both verbal and written) to complete tasks correctly
Encourage and stand as an example of continuous improvement (POOGI - Process of Ongoing Improvement) thinking, participate in and encourage team participation and assume key role in continuous improvement activities.
Undertake other reasonable duties as required and directed by Lead Operator or Manufacturing Manager.
Key skills, competency and experience required:
PCB Soldering experience
Good manual dexterity
Experience using hand tools

The hours of work are: Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 2pm
