About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic
Electronic Test & Repair Technician
to join our friendly, collaborative team.
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for testing, inspecting, fault-finding, and repairing a diverse range of electronic and electro-mechanical products -- including hospital chargers, batteries, keyboards, carts, stands, and complex cabling. You'll also assist with small-scale assembly, programming, and modification tasks to support our production line, ensuring everything meets the high standards expected by our customers across the healthcare and industrial markets.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering varied work, a supportive environment, and comprehensive training.
RequirementsEssential:
Valid UK driving licence
GCSE passes in English & Mathematics
Minimum 3 years of electronics experience
Strong soldering, wiring, and manual PCB assembly skills
Genuine interest in electronics and mechanical engineering
Desirable:
Confident IT skills, comfortable typing up reports
Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
Basic fault-finding skills
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and test finished electronic products to ensure quality
Survey and repair customer returns, preparing detailed written reports
Maintain and create inspection and test documentation for new products
Assist with electro-mechanical assembly following engineering drawings, SOPs, and verbal instructions
Modify parts and assemblies to meet production requirements
Identify and report design or supplier quality issues
Support continuous improvement initiatives as directed
