We are a small but growing all-British electronics development and production company in the Wilmslow area, producing a wide range of high quality connector, power conversion and controller products for use in emergency and military vehicles, in which we are a market leader.
We are a vibrant team working with 100% in-house developed products. This is an opportunity for a bright and resourceful engineer to join us in this sound and expanding company.
The work is interesting and varied, ranging between desk-based design and development and actual hands-on experience in our well equipped workshop.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic principles and the ability to apply engineering techniques to solve complex problems.
Duties
Design and develop electronic circuits and systems.
Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing designs.
Perform debugging of electronic systems, including surface mount technology components.
Create detailed documentation for designs, processes, and test results to maintain project clarity.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product reliability and performance.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the development process.
Experience
Proven experience in electronics design, including proficiency with Revit, CAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
Experience in coding for Microchip range of microprocessors.
Experience in Digital and Analogue design.
Experience in C# and programming in Visual Studio would be an advantage.
Experience of CAN bus would be an advantage.
Familiarity with debugging tools and methodologies for electronic systems.
Experience in root cause analysis to identify issues effectively.
A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field is preferred, along with relevant industry experience.
Experience in PCB layout and schematic capture.
Experience in power conversion would be an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
