Force Effect is a rapidly growing boutique RF systems integration and consultancy business based near Romsey in Hampshire.

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Electronics Design Engineer "all-rounder" to join our team - the role will encompass analog/digital design, low-level software development and possibly some FPGA work depending on the successful applicant's experience/ambition. If you're interested in working on varied and exciting projects and, ideally, have some background in RF (analog and/or digital), this role could be perfect for you.

About the Role:

As part of our small but ambitious team, you'll design, develop, and implement solutions and products with a particular focus on communications intelligence and transmit/RF effect capabilities. Ideally, you'll have practical experience with RF gained from inside or outside of your professional work.

Your day-to-day activities will be steered by your experience, ambition and project requirements, but we can see them including:

Low level design and implementation of RF monitoring and transmit systems, from hardware to embedded software/firmware. Collaborating on RF system design, we're particular fans of not re-inventing the wheel and integrating existing capabilities where we can - so knowledge of what's already available is a bonus. Supporting the wider team in a variety of tasks, including technical sales support like helping design solutions for proposals, and general customer interaction. Contributing your expertise to help shape our growing product and technology roadmap.

What We're Looking For:

At least 3 years of electronics engineering experience (but we're flexible for exceptional candidates). Practical experience or demonstrable interest in RF. Experience of writing software/firmware in C, C++, Rust, Python. Others including VHDL/Verilog are a bonus. Experience of prototyping and designing microcontroller electronics and/or high-speed digital electronics (e.g. with Altium or similar). An awareness of design for compliance (EMC, Safety, RoHS). Comfortable working independently, but also enthusiastic about contributing to broader team goals.

Location:

Office based with some home working to suit business needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,000.00-70,000.00 per year
