Electronics Design Manufacturing Engineer (eDFM) Intern - Starting Summer 2026
Project Title: ??Improve the process of building and organising prototype PCB Assemblies for Verification and Validation Testing and maximizing value from the results.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan effectively the build and ruggedization/downhole packaging of prototype PCB Assemblies so that they are delivered on time with respect to the project schedule for Verification and Validation testing.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Design for Reliability Engineers and Verification and Validation Test Engineers to ensure all the prerequisites have been reviewed and approved prior to testing.
  • Write Inspection Reports of PCB Assemblies following Verification and Validation testing.
  • Share knowledge and lessons learnt when investigating failures, including the continuous improvement of best practice guidelines.?
Outcomes:
  • ?Develop an understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, and their associated industry standards; and the specific downhole ruggedization/downhole packaging Slb requirements.
  • Learn how the Verification and Validation test methods are used to qualify PCB Assemblies for their associated Mission Profile.
  • Gain an appreciation of how the knowledge acquired during qualification testing can be utilized to continually improve the design process for PCB Assemblies.?
Qualifications:
  • ??Studying Bachelors? in ?Electronic and Electrical Engineering? or a related discipline
  • Oral and written communication skills in English
  • Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity ??
  • Electronics Manufacturing: An understanding of the electronic hardware assembly process and the associated industry standards.
  • Engineering Administration: Awareness of the good practices required to prepare manufacturing documentation and control it through engineering change processes.
  • Supplier Quality: Adept at responding to requests for information, verifying the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions, and compiling First Article Inspection packages.?
