BSEn is currently recruiting for the position of Electronics Engineer located at Lakenheath AB, England and is a Full Time, Non-Exempt position. This position will report to the Site Manager.

This job requires the physical capability to lift, maneuver, and carry ACTS pods in a variety of environments, including shop, warehouse, bay, and flight-line. The duties and requirements of this position include, but are not limited to:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule and perform periodic, preventive, and corrective AS/Pod maintenance (including ancillary equipment). Assist with GS/LM/RRU maintenance as required
  • Respond to notification of malfunctioning Airborne Subsystems/pods, including applicable ancillary equipment, as well as Range Remote Unit (RRU) functions; troubleshoot and repair to restore the AS/pods and RRUs to full functionality; Troubleshoot and repair separately deployed Airborne Subsystems upon return
  • Perform system installation, preparation for use and reshipment
  • Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
  • Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies
  • Identify and report supply discrepancies
  • Conduct inventories and maintain accountability records for Airborne Subsystems/pods, including ancillary and support equipment
  • Comply with inspection requirements and implement approved configuration changes
  • Perform equipment status reporting & maintenance data collection/job documentation
  • Conduct Airborne Subsystem training, including ancillary and support equipment; maintain/update training documentation as required
  • Perform corrosion prevention and control
  • Transport, install, and remove AS/pods, including ancillary equipment
  • Verify proper subsystem electro-mechanical interfaces with aircraft
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Monitor Facilities, Technical Publications, Supply Accounts/Stock, Support Equipment, Tools & Vehicles
Minimum Education/Experience Level
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or seven years of progressive experience to include five years of ACTS experience, or equivalent (college degree may substitute for three (3) years of experience) required
  • Must have knowledge of advanced electrical, electronics, operating principles of complex and intricate electronic components; interpreting block, schematic, wiring and logic diagrams and technical data; troubleshooting techniques; calibration, planning, quality assurance, computer operational principles; caring for and repairing complex electrical components; hand tools and special tools

  • US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain required

  • Must be willing to travel in support of ACTS contract obligations
  • Must speak, read, and write the English language at college level, be fluent in technical aircraft and electronic terminology, and competent and proficient in preparing and presenting written and oral presentations and reports.
