The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electronics Repair & Manufacturing Technician to join our small, and busy team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the production, servicing & repairs process, ensuring that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fault finding, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair products, including circuit boards, power supplies, and control modules.
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOM).
Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any defects.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production problems and implement effective solutions.
Test and inspect electronic components and assemblies using standard diagnostic equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.).
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate repair logs, service records, and documentation for all work performed.
Regular stock takes.
Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing or technical role.
Experience working with printed circuit boards (PCBs), components, and assemblies.
Knowledge of safety standards and best practices for handling electronic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping are beneficial.
Experience in analysing engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM) for manufacturing, assembly and repair processes.
