Electroplating Operative
Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a new electroplater to join our team due to an expansion of our premises.
The successful candidate will be responsible for applying metal coatings to various components using electroplating techniques. The work varies from aerospace, automotive, marine and film/tv work so no week is the same!
Duties:
Perform electroplating processes to coat metal parts with various metals.
Prepare metal surfaces for plating by cleaning, and degreasing.
Operate and maintain electroplating equipment and machinery.
Monitor plating process parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
Inspect plated components for adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, engineering or plating preferred. However we will provide training for all our in house processes even if you have no prior experience.
Please only apply if you are comfortable and able to carry out manual handling tasks, some of the work we get various hugely in size and weight and we need to make sure you can safely carry out these tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour
