Overview

About the role
  • Collaborate with the Sales Institutional FICC Flow unit manager in defining the commercial strategy for the Sales Institutional FICC Flow business and setting the unit business plan, budget and financial forecast taking into account the market drivers and investors\' appetite in the region under his/ her responsibility.
  • Originate proactively FI and FX commercial opportunities for institutional clients. Provide a specialized advisory service to the clients about the fixed income (FI) market prices and flows, offering them the most suitable investment opportunities considering their bond portfolio exposure (in terms of rating, maturities, industry, etc.) Offer tailor-made investment and hedging solutions to the clients.
  • Close collaboration with the Global FI and FX unit to coordinate the commercial and product strategy, specially for institutional clients.
  • Distribute among institutional clients the operations originated by the DCM (Debt Capital Markets) unit. Focus on improving DCM distribution capabilities and credentials.
  • Quote and negotiate secondary market orders received from institutional clients, coordinating the pricing and deal closing with the Trading and Structuring desks, as required. Monitor the settlement and post-trade process, helping in solving key incidents and problems if needed.
  • Execute secondary market transactions orders received from both the clients and/ or the Trading desks. Price clients\' request in coordination with the Trading desks, and support Trading in finding potential buyers/ sellers for specific positions of the trading book.
  • Monitor and track the unit activity in the region under his/ her responsibility, monitoring main activity indicators, such as P&L and hit/ miss ratio. Follow up the operations\' pipeline and the budget compliance.
  • Interact permanently with the clients, organising periodic visits together with different Global Markets units (as Research, and Syndication). Focus on reinforcing BBVA relationship with the clients and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the FI E-Commerce unit in the commercialization of electronic platforms to the customers.
  • Promote the bank\'s positioning as key player in the market in the region under his/ her responsibility.
  • Comply with both internal and external operational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Take part in different risks committees to manage the operation and/ or credit lines\' approval - Stay abreast of the specific regulation that may affect the product commercialization to the institutional client segment under his/ her responsibility. Focus on advising clients about the new regulation and offering them the more suitable transactions.
  • Coordinate with Legal and Compliance CIB the clients\' on-boarding process. Assist in the communication with the client to get the required documentation.
  • Monitor the sales activity and profitability through in-house tools and data sources. Follow up the operations\' pipeline and the budget compliance.
  • Generate recurrent income in order to meet the revenues targets that are set each year in the Global Sales unit and the Global Sales & Structuring overall budget. Focus on boosting revenues through GM product\'s origination with the client portfolio under his/ her responsibility.
  • Report to in-ine manager on a periodic and ad-hoc basis about main performance indicators.
