We are recruiting for an Email Marketing Specialist within our Marketing Department.
The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end execution and optimisation of our email marketing campaigns. This role will work closely with our Email and Social Manager and collaborate across teams to deliver inspiring, data driven email campaigns that effectively nurtures leads, connects with customers, and drives conversions, supporting our broader marketing objectives and ensuring to maintain the Club brand.
Daily duties and responsibilities will include:
Campaign Execution:
Build, test, schedule, and deploy email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotional emails, automated journeys, and transactional communications.
A/B Testing:
Conduct thorough A/B tests on email elements such as subject lines, content, calls-to-action, and send times to identify optimal performance and gather insights.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
Monitor key email metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, deliverability) and provide regular, accurate performance reports.
Audience Segmentation:
Implement audience segmentation strategies within the email platform to ensure messages are highly targeted and relevant.
Content & Creative Collaboration:
Work with content and design teams to ensure email creative and copy are engaging, on-brand, and technically optimised for email delivery.
Platform Management:
Be highly proficient in email platform management, managing lists, ensuring data hygiene, and troubleshooting any technical issues.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct rigorous testing and quality checks on all email campaigns before deployment to ensure accuracy, responsiveness, and consistent rendering.
Compliance:
Ensure all email activities adhere strictly to relevant data protection and marketing regulations.
Support & Collaboration:
Provide support to the Email and Social Manager, collaborating with other marketing team members to integrate email activities with wider marketing initiatives.
Channel advocate:
Actively contribute ideas during planning and meeting sessions to align campaigns with department goals and customer needs.
We are looking for the following in applications:
GCSE/Level 2 equivalent in English and Maths
Proven experience in a dedicated email marketing role, with hands-on experience in campaign execution and optimisation.
Strong proficiency with campaign building, list management, automation programmes, and reporting.
Solid understanding of email marketing best practices, including deliverability, list hygiene, and A/B testing methodologies.
Analytical skills with the ability to track performance and interpret key metrics.
Proficient skills in all Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and proof reading skills.
Collaborative approach, comfortable working in an evolving environment where ideas are welcomed and shared.
Highly adaptable and able to effectively prioritise.
Proactive approach, able to act on initiative and drive own and team's workload.
