Within a fast-paced, agile, trading-led marketing team, help set the vision for email marketing. Scale automation and testing, protect GDPR, accessibility and brand standards. Build capability by leading, working alongside and developing junior team members working in line with business targets and partnering closely with Trading, Product, and the wider Marketing team to deliver measurable impact at speed.
Responsibilities
Play a key role in the day-to-day execution of tasks, working alongside other team membersto ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard.
Manage, mentor, and support the development of team members through clearcommunication, input development plans, manage processes, procedures and absences
Demonstrate alignment with business needs by collaborating with the trading and productteams, maintaining a proactive, solutions-focused attitude, and ensuring tasks arecompleted efficiently without unnecessary delays.
In tandem with our trading team, develop and manage the end-to-end email marketingstrategy, ensuring campaigns are aligned with business objectives.
Implement A/B testing across subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times to maximise openand click-through rates.
Ensure email design and content are optimised for mobile and accessibility compliance
Monitor and report on email performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions, ROI),providing insights and recommendations to key decision makers
Work collaboratively with content, design, and product teams to ensure emails reflect ourvoice, brand and objectives.
Edit and optimise email content, and scope out new responsive templates to ensure brandconsistency, accessibility, and high engagement across devices.
Build a relationship with our external provider, utilising them to support our growth
Skills
Essential:
Proven experience managing a team, mentoring junior members of staff and ensuring workload is delivered in alignment with business need.
Proven experience in an email marketing role, ideally within a UK-based B2C or B2Benvironment.
Proactive self-starter--highly motivated and forward-thinking--who takes ownership, spots opportunities, and drives initiatives.
Content-editing skills with a keen eye for design and layout.
Strong knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g. HubSpot).
Understanding of email analytics, KPIs, and reporting.
Skilled in HTML capabilities.
Desirable:
Knowledge of GDPR, PECR, and UK data protection laws relating to email marketing.
Experience in structuring, segmenting, and interpreting customer data.
