We are looking for an Embalmer to join our team at the East of England Co-op Funerals. As an Embalmer you will make a meaningful impact in providing a final tribute for our clients. Bring your expertise and compassion to provide personalised and dignified care to individuals from diverse backgrounds. What you'll be doing

  • Provide caring and personalised support to clients from various backgrounds and religions.
  • Carry out daily preparations of the deceased and perform practical physical assessments.
  • Help colleagues understand the benefits of embalming through supportive guidance.
  • Uphold meticulous standards and attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
  • Actively participate in the community, fostering meaningful relationships and representing our co-op as a trusted and respected ambassador.
The person we are looking for
  • Must have a recognised British Institute of Embalmers qualification (or equivalent).
  • Recognise the importance of providing an impeccable final tribute.
  • Possess excellent decision-making and task prioritisation skills, ensuring efficient and timely execution.
  • Demonstrate a pragmatic and versatile mindset, with an open and adaptable approach to various situations.
  • Have a compassionate demeanour and display emotional resilience.
