Location:

Derby, Coventry or Manchester

On-site Requirement:

Full-time, 5 days per week

Experience Level:

Mid-level (4-10 years of experience)

as we support cutting-edge programmes in

embedded systems

for next-generation

aerospace technology

. You'll be part of a team designing and developing

safety-critical software

for high-performance systems that push the boundaries of innovation and reliability in the skies.

hardware integration

within a high-integrity aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Design and develop

embedded software

for

aerospace systems

, following

DO-178

safety-critical standards. Develop

low-level drivers

and perform

hardware interfacing

with peripherals such as

SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet

. Support

software integration

,

system architecture

, and

test activities

to ensure functional safety and performance. Work with

real-time operating systems (RTOS)

and embedded

C/C++

development for

ARM-based processors

. Collaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineers to achieve full

system lifecycle compliance

. Conduct

debugging, validation, and verification

of software components to aerospace standards.


Qualifications

Required Skills:



Strong background in

Embedded Software Engineering

within aerospace or safety-critical environments. Experience with

RTOS

,

C/C++

, and

ARM core

architectures. Proven capability in

hardware interface protocols

(SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet). Exposure to

software integration

,

architecture

, and

test environments

. Familiarity with

DO-178

or similar safety-critical development standards.

Required Qualifications:



A

Bachelor's or Master's degree

in Software, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline.

Desirable Skills:



Aerospace domain experience

. Knowledge of

embedded verification and validation

tools. Familiarity with

system-level testing

and traceability methods.
