Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to work within a dynamic environment. Prior experience in warehouse operations or sewing is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

The Role is permanent and hours will be full time working Monday-Friday.

Duties

Operate various manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety guidelines. Monitor machine performance, identify faults, and perform basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime. Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure the quality of products by inspecting finished goods and making adjustments as necessary. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency. Follow production schedules to meet daily targets while maintaining high standards of quality.

Skills

Previous experience in warehouse operations or manufacturing environments is preferred. Basic sewing skills are considered an advantage, especially for roles involving fabric or textile production. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or irregularities in products. Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Basic mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning machine maintenance procedures. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards.
