You will join the Pension and Benefits team, ensuring Barclays' employee benefits are well managed globally. Your key responsibilities include managing benefit policies and third-party delivery, ensuring compliance with governance measures, and overseeing supplier performance. You will also support the governance of pension and benefit plans in Europe and the Middle East, and contribute to project activities, including scheme design reviews.
In this role, you will manage a robust governance framework for pension and benefit plans, anticipate and interpret legislative changes, and implement necessary policy adjustments. You will identify and support improvements in governance and operations, and provide advice on pensions and benefits to assist in achieving commercial and HR objectives.
To be successful as an Employee Benefits Specialist you should have the following experience:
Experience of managing service providers, ideally within a HR/Benefits environment
Experience of managing employee related processes
Experience of project activity ownership and delivery to completion in a fast-paced environment
Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to influence
Experience of data analysis and data management with an understanding of the importance of effective records management
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Knowledge of employee benefit plans in Europe and/or UK, including the design and management of those plans
Understanding of company pension plan design and governance
Able to successfully adapt to changing demands and conditions and ability to balance conflicting priorities whilst still meeting deadlines
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
