About the role



The Consultant is part of the Regional IT Automation team and plays a key role in delivering automation solutions that enhance business efficiency and foster innovation. Reporting to and supporting the Senior Solutions Architect, the Consultant works closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, design and implement solutions in alignment with IT governance, and provide ongoing user support. The role involves leading projects from initiation to delivery, managing timelines and risks, and ensuring all documentation is comprehensive and compliant. Additionally, the Consultant is expected to stay informed on emerging technologies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the region.



1.

Engage with Business Stakeholders to Gather and Refine Requirements



Collaborate closely with business users and stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify automation opportunities. Elicit, analyse, and refine business and functional requirements to ensure alignment with strategic goals and the feasibility of implementation.

Design, Develop, and Test Automation Solutions in Compliance with IT Standards



Implement automation solutions that address identified business needs, ensuring adherence to established Global and Regional IT standards, architectural principles, and security guidelines. Conduct rigorous testing to ensure quality, performance, and reliability of the solutions.



3.

Maintain High-Quality Documentation Aligned with IT Governance Processes



Develop and manage comprehensive documentation throughout the solution lifecycle, including design specifications, configuration details, test plans, and user guides. Ensure that all documentation complies with Global and Regional IT governance and change management procedures.



4.

Provide User Support and Resolve Issues Within Agreed SLAs



Act as a point of contact for end-user support, responding to incidents, service requests, and technical queries related to automation solutions. Ensure timely resolution of issues in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs), maintaining high levels of user satisfaction.



5.

Lead Projects from Inception to Delivery, Ensuring Timely and High-Quality Outcomes



Take ownership of automation projects throughout their lifecycle--from initial concept and scoping through to development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review. Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and mitigate risks to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business expectations.



6.

Monitor Technology Trends and Promote Innovation



Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, and automation trends. Proactively evaluate and propose innovative solutions to regional stakeholders, identifying new opportunities to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and drive continuous improvement.

Education/Qualifications



The ideal candidate will hold a degree in an IT-related discipline; however, applicants with relevant professional experience and a demonstrable commitment to learning and development will also be considered. Possession of ITIL certifications is desirable.



Related Experience


1-2 years of experience with the Microsoft Power Platform Skilled in developing solutions using Power Apps Strong working knowledge of Power Automate Experienced in building end-to-end solutions within the Power Platform Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) principles Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies Effective collaboration and teamwork skills Confident in delivering presentations to technical and non-technical audiences

Skills, Special Competencies


Familiarity with SQL databases (desirable) Working knowledge of JavaScript (desirable) Exposure to .NET technologies (desirable)
