Support recruitment of eligible 16-19-year-old learners onto the JGW+ programme within an employability-focused learning environment.
Deliver and support the development of the Good Wood 'Job Growth Wales +' employability curriculum.
Provide targeted support to learners to ensure they acquire relevant employability skills aligned to their progression goals.
Maintain delivery standards and uphold compliance in accordance with Welsh Government guidelines.
Classroom & Workshop delivery based in Holywell / Wrexham
MAIN DUTIES
Initially assess prior achievements, identify learner suitability for the apprenticeship
Conduct initial assessments to evaluate learner suitability for each 16-19 employability programme.
Identify learner support needs including Essential Skills, Soft Skills, and barriers to employment.
Agree on learner starting points and set clear, achievable goals to support development and progress through each scheme.
Deliver engaging, interactive sessions that develop employability, workplace readiness, and personal development.
Provide learners with realistic workplace expectations and simulated experiences aligned to future destinations.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all learners.
Embed health and safety awareness in employability training and work preparation.
Guide learners in CV writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies.
Promote the values of sustainability, community responsibility, and positive behaviours within the workplace context.
Provide written and verbal feedback on learner progress to motivate and support improvement.
Conduct reviews and ensure that learners are meeting agreed targets and progressing towards outcomes.
Monitor learner progress, achievement, attendance, and engagement in line with contractual and organisational expectations.
Create and update Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), ensuring they reflect the learner's needs, goals, and progression steps.
Facilitate the achievement of qualifications and/or work experience placements in line with programme goals.
Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are always adhered to.
Maintain professionalism and contribute to the supportive ethos of Good Wood and Achieve More Training.

ESSENTIALS
Driving License
A strong understanding of employability training and skills development.
A passion for working with young people at the beginning of their career journey.
Possess qualities including empathy, patience, and strong communication.
Professionalism and reliability in a learner-focused environment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a small, dynamic team.
DESIRABLES
Qualified Tutor/Assessor (full training can be provided).
Experience with ESF funded programmes (e.g., Apprenticeships, Traineeships, JGW+, or alternative provision).
Experience working with 16-19-year-olds facing multiple barriers to education and employment.
B1 minibus driving license
Ability to support learners through the medium of Welsh.
